An afternoon for spiritual directors or those interested in becoming a spiritual director in the Diocese of Winchester. Our speaker is Chris Blakeley. Chris is the founding Director Of Waverley Learning, and established their highly respected leadership development practice. He also teaches Spiritual Direction the Spiritual Formation Programme at Waverley Abbey College.
Chris’ session will focus on contemplative practice and ‘presencing’ as a key aspect of spiritual direction and will draw on the first commandment with its emphasis on whole-life embodiment – heart, soul, mind and strength. We will work with some practical exercises as a way of becoming attentive to the living presence of God so that we may discern God’s Will at work in our lives (Romans 12)
