Event Description

Whether you’re already a member of the Chaplaincy Network, are already a chaplain, thinking about being a chaplain, or curious about chaplaincy, you are all welcome to join the Chaplaincy Network!

Chaplaincy is a key aspect of the vision of Winchester Diocese, underlined in  Walking the Wessex Way as being a crucial means today of serving the missional directive to be a present witness of God’s love in places of need.

The Chaplaincy Network was set up to help connect Christian chaplains serving across diverse contexts from within the Winchester Diocese, including a range of traditions along with those who are formally linked through the Bishop’s licencing and/or commissioning.

Led by Revd Lisa Thomas, Diocesan Lead for Chaplaincy, a chaplain in Winchester Crown Court, we aim to offer the opportunity to draw chaplains together for networking and gathering, for sharing ideas, news and concerns and for supporting each other in prayer, learning and fellowship.

Our first meeting in this new season is on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 from 12.30 to 3pm at Old Alresford Place.

Led by Revd Lisa, the meeting will be an opportunity for chaplains to talk about how the Network could support them in their calling and how this might be put into practice. Lunch will be provided.

Revd. Lisa can be contacted at ChaplaincyLead@winchester.anglican.org and is very happy to talk all things chaplaincy!
