Event Description
FULLY BOOKED
Following the very positive reception of this course when it ran in September 2024, we are delighted to be offering it again.
This workshop will offer a reflective and practical space to explore these questions, drawing on both contemporary research and our shared faith.
Participants will explore:
- How recent developments in trauma theory and neurobiology help us understand what happens in our body and brain when we are dealing with trauma, or experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, and conflict.
- How leaders, congregations, and communities can respond pastorally, so that our responses become less reactive and more considered, creative, and sustainable.
- Where God is present in the midst of trauma, and the connections between our lived experience and our biblical and faith resources
- How Scripture is a robust resource in times of trauma, demonstrating the power of reframing as a key component of resilience.
This day is designed to be both grounding and hopeful, offering insights that can be applied directly within parish ministry and personal practice.
Please note: lunch will not be provided; participants are asked to bring their own.
