All Are Welcome

All Are Welcome

The All Are Welcome project builds on the success of the Diocesan An Angel Just Like Me resources, which used a well-loved children’s book to help teachers talk about race and cultural diversity in the classroom.   All Are Welcome uses secular children’s books by young, mainly Black writers as a child-friendly way to open up conversations about race and celebrate every child’s uniqueness.  The materials include class reflections and practical ideas for art and RE lessons. They have been used successfully in a range of settings, including Key Stage one classrooms and after school clubs and can be easily adapted  to suit individual needs.
