Odiham Deanery

Odiham Deanery

We are a dynamic deanery with a mission orientation, and a friendly, collaborative clergy Chapter. We have five benefices and twenty-six churches, in contexts from suburban, through small town and large village to tiny hamlets, as well as a school chaplaincy. Our multi-parish benefices have larger town churches teamed with smaller rural churches, each having its minister licensed by the diocese. There is a variety of theology, spirituality and ways of doing church and we value and respect this.

As we focus on mission for the common good across the whole diocese, we are reviewing our Deanery Plan to develop our mission in rural contexts, church planting in new development areas and leadership training. It is anticipated and hoped that the ministers appointed to all our benefices will play an active part in bringing about creative change.
