Resources for PCCs

Resources for PCCs

Faith & Generosity

A resource for small groups, typically a PCC or LPC which examines some of the practical steps we can take to live faithfully and generously as ‘people of God’ (1 Peter 2:10).

The link below is to a financial giving programme offered by the Church of England. It is particularly designed for smaller or rural/village churches.

‘Friends of’

In all likelihood there will be people in your parish who would like to help preserve your church building, even if they don’t attend worship. They may have been christened or married there, have relatives buried in the churchyard, enjoy attending festivals, or simply appreciate the church as a beautiful community landmark. Church of England ‘Parish Resources’ has produced guidance including the ‘pros’ and ‘cons’ of different types of scheme.

The Offertory

Irrespective of whether a bag or plate is passed around during worship, it can still be brought forward so that the gifts of God’s people are offered as a part of worship.  This document is a resource to help parishes explore the offering.

Fundraising Compliance

It is important that fundraising complies with fundraising regulations. The link below is to the Funding Regulator’s Code of Practice:

Church of England Parish Resources has produced the following simple guidance document for churches, which highlights the values underpinned within the Code and some of the key standards that apply to all giving.
