C3 – Leadership Pathway

C3 – Leadership Pathway

This pathway is designed for those people who play a lead role in shaping the culture of a church body. The Leadership safeguarding pathway provides an opportunity for Church Officers to reflect on their safeguarding responsibilities, their local safeguarding culture and identify potential areas for development going forwards.

The Leadership Safeguarding Learning Pathway consists of two 90 minute Zoom sessions, where attendance at both sessions is necessary to complete the course. Prior to each session participants will have tasks to complete within the Leadership participant workbook. After the final session participants will complete a reflective evaluation exercise. You will need to have completed the Basic Awareness and Foundations before undertaking the Leadership pathway.

You must complete this pathway if you:

  • Hold the Bishop’s licence, authorisation, or permission
  • Are a Cathedral Canon (who is not engaged in the Senior Leadership Pathway)
  • Are a Safeguarding Officer in any Church body
  • Are an honorary bishop
  • Are a member of teaching staff at a Theological Education Institution who is delivering the Leadership Pathway
  • Are a Safeguarding Lead in TEIs

If you’re unsure if you need to take the course or if you simply feel you would benefit from attending Safeguarding Leadership training, please contact the Safeguarding Training Officer.
