Member of the Fabric Advisory Committee – Winchester Cathedral

The Fabric Advisory Committee of Winchester Cathedral is seeking a new member who is a priest with significant and recent experience of forming worship in a large and ancient liturgical space, such as a cathedral or major church. The advice of such an individual who is an integral part of the FAC is enormously helpful in guiding other members in matters relating to liturgical practice, both current and historic.

The Committee consults or approves on a varied and interesting series of situations and projects. These range from views given on major projects destined for a Cathedrals Fabric Commission decision, to local FAC decisions on matters concerning, for example, presentation and multiple uses of the cathedral building for services, events, exhibitions, etc. The term will be for three years, from 1 May 2026 and the Committee meets four times a year, usually for three hours in the afternoon.
