Due to retirement, the Resurrection Benefice are looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Administrator to join their Benefice team to help with the day-to-day running of the Benefice, working closely with the other Administrator, churchwardens and the Ministry Team.
The role will be varied, but, with nine church buildings in the Benefice, it will include a focus on the hiring and care of the buildings, including maintaining inventories, scheduling inspections and engaging contractors.
The Benefice Administrators are key people in the life of the Benefice and this part-time role requires someone who is self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise and multitask and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative efficiency, be proactive and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience of working with church and/ or community groups would be desirable although not essential.
The role holder needs to be sympathetic to the vision and objectives of the Christian Church and the Church of England.
Hours: The working pattern will be 13 hours per week with a minimum of 2 mornings based in the Benefice Office; the remaining hours may be worked flexibly.
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Holiday: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Pension: Contributory pension scheme
