Youth Worker – Wildfire Youth Project

About Wildfire Youth Project

Wildfire was founded in 2016 during ‘Tent on the Green’, a worship festival where youth workers across Winchester came together to welcome young people into God’s presence. The Wildfire team have continued to work together ever since with the same vision; to help create safe spaces for young people to encounter God’s love in a way that transforms their lives and equips them to reach their potential.

The work of Wildfire has grown and developed to include connections with 19 churches of varying denominations and regular work within Winchester’s secondary schools. The team collaborates on termly city-wide evangelistic events, as well as an annual residential weekend away. In April 2023 Wildfire was given charity status, enabling them to run yet further with the vision, and to advertise this post for their first youth worker in this pioneering role!

Wildfire also works in partnership with organisations such as Scripture Union, Golddigger Trust, and Relational Hub, who support us in their vision of ‘revealing Jesus’ to those not yet connected to the Church in a way that is 100% relational. These partnerships offer their team the chance to benefit from training, forming part of Wildfire’s commitment to excellence and growth as leaders.
