Event Description

Spiritual Growth and Landscapes in the Four Gospels

This short Quiet Day will provide space to reflect on the significance of key landscapes that each Gospel writer invites us to inhabit. We will consider how these may help us know God’s presence along four dimensions of the Christian journey of change, suffering, joy, and growth in service, that may be recognised in the pattern of our Gospel Lectionary readings. From mountain tops to turbulent waters and roads, we will consider how Jesus encounters us in human experiences as he did for the Evangelists’ original audiences. A short presentation on the theme will be offered, with (optional) space for Lectio Divina in a group, and individual reflection, prayer, and time to rest in the quiet space at Wolvesey.

A Quiet Morning for Lent led by Revd Dr Amy Roche.
