The Clockhouse at North Stoneham Established as Separate Charity

The following lines are an extract from a joint statement from The Clockhouse and the Parish of North Stoneham and Bassett

For the last few years, St Nic’s@4 has been an umbrella encompassing the worship on Sunday afternoons at St Nicolas’ Church and the outreach at the YMCA (the Clockhouse) to those living on the estate who have little contact with the church or Christian faith.

After prayerful consideration and conversations, the leadership group of the Clockhouse have decided that, to continue to respond where God is at work, they now need to separate from the Parish of North Stoneham and Basset and set up an independent charity.

The plan is that the Clockhouse as a new charity will be operating from January 2026 and it will take forward the work currently based at the YMCA.  The services on Sunday afternoons at St Nicolas’ Church will continue as at present.

The hope is that in the future the work based at the YMCA and at St Nicolas’ will complement each other, that they will both flourish, and that this will further the kingdom of God in North Stoneham.
