Beloved wife of the late Right Revd Michael Scott-Joynt, mum to Hannah, Jeremy and Matthew, and granny to Lily, Amara, Clara and Charlie.
Lou Scott-Joynt died peacefully on Saturday 2nd April in Winchester Hospice. Lou served alongside Michael (who was Bishop of Winchester from 1995-2011).
She was a huge encouragement to many in this Diocese – not least through the gift of hospitality exercised through Wolvesey.
Lou offered her leadership and counsel in many different areas, including RELATE; the Mothers Union and the Congo Church Association. Many of the clergy and lay members of the Anglican Church in this Diocese found her godly wisdom and prayer an extraordinary gift, particularly in times of challenge.
Lou returned to live in St Cross a few years ago and became part of the St Faiths congregation. Lou was a third order Franciscan.
Her funeral will be in Winchester Cathedral on Tuesday 19th April at 230pm. Amongst those officiating will be Canon Roly Riem and Bishop David.
