It was a real joy for Bishop Debbie and the Parish Support team to visit SCRATCH Southampton, a local Christian charity who, at Christmas-time, provides toys and gifts to children and young people who might otherwise go without presents. All the children are referred to SCRATCH by trusted referral agents, with ages and interests provided so the team can choose presents that will really delight.
The team helped with choosing the presents and boxing them up, and Bishop Debbie was even allowed to go delivering in the SCRATCH van! Thank you to the team at SCRATCH for welcoming us and for all the charity is doing to serve disadvantaged families in our diocese.
