Project Relationship Manager for Growing Rural Parishes Project (GRPP)

Due to the imminent retirement of our current GRPP Project Relationship Manager, we’re looking for another special individual to fill this important role.

Can you offer a mix of rural ministry experience, a pastoral heart, and efficient administrative skills?  Would you like the opportunity to put these to good use across the Diocese in supporting the growth of God’s Kingdom in our rural areas?  If so, read on.

The part-time nature of this role would especially suit self-supporting or house for duty ordained ministers, licenced lay ministers or church officers in rural multi parish benefices.

The role sits within the Strategic Development Team which manages Winchester Diocese’s portfolio of mission and ministry programmes funded initially under the Strategic Development Fund (SDF) and more recently under the Diocesan Investment Programme (DIP).  The Team is led by the Strategic Programme Manager.

DIP funding is awarded by the national church to dioceses to support them to undertake transformational programmes aimed at revitalising mission and ministry and  growing the Kingdom of God in terms of numbers of worshippers and depth of faith.  The Diocese is dedicated to supporting rural mission and ministry and hence a key strand of its funded programmes is focused on assisting rural multi parish benefices through the Growing Rural Parishes Project.

Key aspects of the role include – maintaining the relationship with the rural benefices participating in GRPP, coordinating the various project activities, and monitoring and reporting on progress; working with the Strategic Programme Manager to run the annual bidding round for new GRPP awards and supporting benefice teams with the bidding process; and contributing rural input for future diocesan bids seeking DIP funding.

If you would like to discuss the role further before making an application, please contact Sarah Keen, Strategic Programme Manager via email: sarah.keen@winchester.anglican.org
